Elephants don't have any natural enemies because they are so big, that's why they can afford to wait for quality. And now when humans are at the top, maybe they don't need quantity either ? As you know, human bulls can be about 80 years old, and still they can be a father, (like Charlie Chaplin). It's different to the females, they are strong and fertile already in the age of 15-16 years old. They are mature, much faster than the boys in the same age. Of course they are a sexual attraction to the men. They can be mothers to many children, the next generation. It's logical for a man to have a young woman, and it's especially logical for nature if the male is strong and successful... A threat to older women ? 40 years is quite old for a woman, but it's not old as a male, it's not the same thing. It can't be easy to be a woman losing her sex appeal I know that it must be hard.
